If you lived here...

Every aspect of the renovation, inside and out, has been approached with attention to quality, sustainability and practicality. Natural materials, carefully considered finishes and a colour palette intentionally chosen to complement the home’s original architecture create a calm and welcoming environment that is ready to enjoy from day one.

The property is well proportioned throughout, with high ceilings, original features and an abundance of storage. Two separate reception rooms sit on the ground floor, followed by the extended kitchen and dining room at the rear, where French doors open directly onto the garden. Newly installed energy-efficient timber sash windows, restored original wooden floors and new carpets create an inviting atmosphere throughout. Low-voc paints have been used across the home, with natural cork flooring in the kitchen and natural rubber in the bathroom.

The home’s original character has been carefully preserved and enhanced through the thoughtful use of vintage and reclaimed fixtures and fittings. Reclaimed stone details, distinctive kitchen and bathroom features, and an exposed original wall in one of the bedrooms and living area add texture, authenticity and a strong sense of history.

Upstairs, three bedrooms are joined by the extended family bathroom, which has been beautifully reconfigured to provide a generous and relaxing space. Practical features include a fully boarded loft with a new access ladder, a useful cellar and outdoor space suitable for a cargo bike or family bicycles.

The front and rear gardens have been designed as flourishing wildlife havens, rich in biodiversity while also providing seasonal fruit, herbs and edible planting. Alive with birds, bees and butterflies, they offer a wild outdoor sanctuary.

Word from the owner...

"We chose this home for the abundance of nearby green spaces – Wanstead Park and Flats, the ancient Bushwood forest, and the local cemeteries – and they've been an invaluable place to unwind and recharge.

The local area has so much to offer, with fantastic cafés, pubs and restaurants. Some of our favourites are Ramble, Fiore, The North Star and The Holly Tree. We've also loved discovering the community gardens, libraries and the wealth of resources for young families.

The excellent transport links have made getting all over London easy, even with a pram.

We've put so much love into making this house a beautiful home. It has been our sanctuary and has seen us through some of life's biggest milestones. We hope the next owners feel just as happy and at home here as we have."
