One of the things we fell in love with when we bought this flat was how bright and airy it feels. The many windows fill the flat with natural light, along with lovely open views of the sky and surrounding trees that make the space feel calm. Although it's a one-bedroom apartment, we've always been pleasantly surprised by how spacious it feels and how much storage space there is. The winter garden has been one of our favourite features. Thanks to the sliding glass doors, it's a truly versatile room that can be enjoyed all year round - we love having a coffee here in the morning.
The location has been fantastic. Ealing Common is just a couple of minutes away, and several of Ealing's beautiful parks are within a 15-minute stroll. Across the road, you'll find a great selection of international shops and cafés, while Ealing Broadway, with its wide range of supermarkets, restaurants, bars, gyms and shopping, is only around a 10-minute walk away. Transport has also been exceptional. Being within easy walking distance of the Piccadilly, District, Central and Elizabeth lines has made commuting into central London and beyond incredibly convenient. Despite the excellent transport links, the flat remains wonderfully quiet inside thanks to its high-quality double glazing.
Finally, one thing we'll genuinely miss is the sense of community within the building. We've been lucky to have friendly, considerate neighbours, and it's always felt like a welcoming place to come home to.
Why we’d buy it
If you’re buying your first home, downsizing, or simply looking for a London apartment that doesn’t feel like a compromise, this one deserves your attention.
At nearly 600 sq ft, the proportions are excellent for a modern one-bedroom apartment. The open plan living space is genuinely generous, with room to cook, dine and relax without everything feeling squeezed together. The separate utility cupboard is another thoughtful touch, keeping the washing machine and household essentials tucked neatly away.
Then there’s the winter garden. These spaces are often marketed as balconies with glass around them, but this one feels much more useful. Whether you need a home office, a reading nook, somewhere to entertain or simply a place to enjoy the sunshine without worrying about the weather, it adds valuable extra living space all year round.
The apartment sits on the third floor, giving you lovely elevated views across mature trees while filling the home with natural light throughout the day. Combined with the quiet position and excellent glazing, it’s surprisingly tranquil considering how connected you are.
Speaking of convenience, the location is difficult to beat. Ealing Common, Ealing Broadway, multiple tube lines, cafés, restaurants, parks and everyday amenities are all within easy walking distance. You can quite happily leave the car at home, although having your own allocated parking space is a luxury you’ll appreciate whenever you need it.
Taking everything into account, this is the sort of apartment that’s incredibly easy to live in, from day one.
