Brickworks says

This four-bedroom Edwardian terrace gets the important things right. The tiled hallway floor sets the tone from the moment you walk in, and the character continues throughout with high ceilings, generous proportions and period details. The front reception room pairs the original fireplace with built-in storage, while the kitchen beyond is the heart of the home. Here, the bay window draws you to the garden, where a long lawn and mature trees create a surprisingly private setting that changes with the seasons.

Upstairs, the first floor provides three bedrooms that can adapt as life changes; children's rooms, guest accommodation or a home office. Created by the current owners, the loft space is a masterclass in making every inch count. Built-in storage keeps things tidy, while a full-height dormer frames views across the garden and fills the room with light. A generous shower room next door turns the top floor into a genuine retreat.

Belmont is one of those neighbourhoods people tend to discover by recommendation. Turnpike Lane station is a seven-minute walk away, putting King's Cross around 15 minutes from your front door and central London within half an hour. Then there's four parks within walking distance, providing every excuse for a morning run, coffee in the sunshine or an afternoon with the kids.
The owners say

This house has been the most incredible home for us for the past ten years, and we have delayed moving for a long time because we know how special it is. We know almost everyone on our street; we cook for one another, have monthly play streets for the kids, organise regular litter picks in the park, and generally look out for one another. It’s so friendly and inclusive, and genuinely supportive.

The school is the heart of the area. We pick up and drop off our kids through the park gates, so we spend a lot of the time before and after school in the park, playing and connecting with parents and school friends. The proximity to the tube and buses have been invaluable to us as two working parents, making commuting easy. The wealth of parks nearby have been the major unexpected joy of living here though. The kids enjoy playing and exploring in one (or more) of them most weekends.

New shops and bars are cropping up everywhere in the area. We love to go to Bolland & Crust for brunch and drinks, Westbury Cafe for milkshakes, and Ordu One to pick up nibbles and flowers. Then we have West Green Road and Green Lanes nearby for Turkish food and cocktails, as well as the two amazing pubs; The Westbury and The Palm.

Recent work:
The current owners removed the stud wall between the original kitchen and dining room to create a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, converted the loft two years ago to add a principal bedroom and contemporary bathroom, installed a new boiler last year, and had the property's electrics inspected during the loft conversion. At the same time, they added power sockets to the outhouse, making it suitable for additional appliances such as a drinks fridge or freezer.

Getting around:
Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly line, Z3) is a seven-minute walk away, providing direct services into Central London and easy access to King's Cross, the West End and Heathrow Airport. A wide range of local bus routes serve the surrounding area, while nearby cycle routes and quieter residential streets make cycling a convenient option for both commuting and exploring.

Schools:
Families are well served by a choice of local schools, including the highly regarded Belmont Infant School and Belmont Junior School, both within easy walking distance. For secondary education, Greig City Academy, Park View School, Heartlands High School and Hornsey School for Girls are all within easy reach.

Onward plans:
The current owners are relocating to be closer to family. They are selling chain-free.

Anything else:
Belmont Recreation Ground has had recent major investment, and the community spearheaded an architect-designed revamp which is firmly in the works. The new Low Traffic Network also means the roads around the neighbourhood are very quiet and easy to cycle around safely.
