Welton park is an select gated development of eight luxury homes in the heart of St Marychurch, constructed by a local building firm in 2021 to an impressive build quality with great care having been taken to ensure the elegant period style of the development is in tune with the conservation area, sympathetically fused with a contemporary finish. This four bedroom town house provides well-proportioned living space arranged over three levels, complemented by the sizeable principle room opening onto an attractive, enclosed, low maintenance private garden. A cosy open plan study area to the top floor is a further advantage, with parking for two vehicles an additional attribute of this lovely home.

St Marychurch is one of Torquay's most desirable districts, with the development standing just a short, level saunter to the vibrant pedestrianised shopping precinct. A few minutes walk away is the picturesque Babbacombe Downs where the renowned funicular railway takes passengers between the Downs and shingle beach of Oddicombe below, and neighbouring Babbacombe Beach. A host of leisure clubs are equally accessible locally including Torquay Golf Club, Babbacombe Corinthian Sailing Club and bowls and tennis clubs a short, level walk at nearby Cary Park.

Owners Insight

"When we were last looking to move we set ourselves a 5-year plan, to enjoy a lovely home in a scenic setting by the sea. We visited Torquay as it offered a lot of what we were looking for, and we stumbled across the ’hidden gem’ that is St Marychurch. A very welcoming district, almost a ’village’ within the town, offering access to everything needed on a daily basis - shops, buses and beautiful walks all on the doorstep, with the sea just a short stroll away. We found the new development of Welton Park, in the process of being constructed, right in the heart of St Marychurch. As soon as we walked on site, met the lovely friendly builders and saw the exacting quality of the properties they were building we knew that we had found our new home. Now with our 5-year plan coming to an end and mobility issues arising, we have made the difficult decision to downsize, but Welton Park will hold a special place in our hearts and hope that any new owners will enjoy it here as much as we have."
