Exquisite 2-Bed Soho Apartment: 1,048 Sq Ft Of West End Living

Greater London Properties Presents
A well proportioned two bedroom, two bathroom flat in the heart of Soho. This 1,048 square foot apartment benefits from high ceilings and original sash windows, and is presented in good condition. One bedroom benefits from an en suite bathroom, perfect for a master bedroom with ensuite access.

The Property
This is a generously proportioned two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in the heart of Soho, offering a rare combination of period character and modern comfort. Set within a solid Victorian building, the flat spans 1,048 square feet and presents itself in good condition throughout.
The defining feature of this flat is its exceptional ceiling height, which immediately creates a sense of space and light. Original sash windows run along the main living space, allowing natural light to flood through during the day and offering the sort of tall, airy proportions that have made Soho's Victorian conversions so popular. You look out over Archer Street itself, a street that perfectly captures Soho's character.
The main bedroom features an en suite bathroom, offering privacy and convenience. A second good sized bedroom provides flexible space, while the separate guest bathroom serves the wider flat. The accommodation is laid out practically and flows well, with the sort of proportions that suggest the building's original purpose. There is a real sense of solidity throughout.

Location and Transport
Archer Street sits at the centre of one of London's most vibrant neighbourhoods. This is Soho at its most characterful-a network of streets lined with restaurants, bars, independent shops and the sort of everyday life that defined central London for generations. The street itself is quieter than some of its better known neighbours, but still thoroughly at the heart of things.

The West End is on your doorstep. Theatre land, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square are all close by. Shopping ranges from the boutiques of Carnaby Street through to the mainstream retailers of Oxford Street. For food and drink, Soho offers everything-from casual neighbourhood cafes to restaurants of genuine reputation.

Transport links are excellent. Tottenham Court Road station (serving the Northern and Central lines) is nearby, as is Leicester Square. Piccadilly Circus station is also within easy reach. This puts you on good transport connections in all directions.

Living here offers access to one of London's most established, most animated neighbourhoods. It is somewhere to be part of a street, not apart from it.

What the Owner Says
After viewing more than 20 properties in 2004, I found my dream flat in the heart of Soho and bought it the following year. I still love it: Nearly 1,100 square feet, spacious and loft-like, with wonderful light from large windows on all four sides. The balcony is one of its best features-large enough for four people and remarkably quiet and private when London feels too busy.

As an American, I wanted a proper washer and dryer, and the flat also has two generous bedrooms, two renovated bathrooms, a new electric fireplace, and new wood flooring throughout. It is a completely comfortable home, although I spend less time there than expected because Soho offers so much right outside the door.

The flat sits in the heart of theatreland, one block from Chinatown and a four-minute walk from the cinemas in Leicester Square. Within 10 minutes are around at least a hundred restaurants, countless pubs, several jazz clubs, and a wide choice of supermarkets, including Whole Foods, Tesco, Food Coop, and Marks & Spencer food hall. The concentration of entertainment, shopping, and dining is unmatched. I am reluctantly selling and moving back to the States; if only my bags were big enough to carry the flat back to New York.
