The Sellers View...
We moved to Moor End in December 2004 to take advantage of the extra space and provide care for my father. The cul-de-sac is wonderfully peaceful, with just nine houses in this part of the development.
Over the past 22 years, we have lovingly transformed this house into our home, modernising it throughout and cultivating the garden. From the very beginning, it was clear that Moor End has a strong sense of community. We have our own neighbours' WhatsApp group and have enjoyed numerous events, gatherings, and street parties over the years.
Everyone looks out for one another, creating a real sense of security and belonging. One of the things we have all treasured most is the access to the open fields and beautiful walks directly behind the house.
The property is conveniently located just a 30-minute walk, or a short bus ride, from the train station and the Elizabeth Line. There is easy access to Junctions 8 and 9 of the M4 motorway, with the M40 also within easy reach. The attractive towns of Windsor, Marlow, and Cookham are all just a short drive away, so you're truly spoilt for choice when it comes to days out and local amenities.
Several shops are within walking distance, along with a post office, pharmacy, and doctor's surgery. There is also an excellent family-run café serving delicious freshly prepared food and snacks. The local butcher is particularly well regarded for its high-quality meat, fresh vegetables, and deli produce.
The property offers off-street parking for three to four cars, along with ample unrestricted parking within the cul-de-sac.
Leaving Moor End is bittersweet. I am excited to begin the next chapter of my life in retirement, but I will be very sad to leave a home and community that have meant so much to us. Our sons have all flown the nest now, although they still love coming back to visit.
The time has come for another family to become part of the Moor End cul-de-sac community. I hope it brings them as much happiness, friendship, fun, and laughter as it has brought us over the past 22 years.
