I have purchased this 1 bedroom apartment from Wandle Housing Association in 2010, so was the first owner of this flat. We are moving as our family has expanded and we require a bigger place now. It's a top - 2nd floor apartment (so no heavy steps above your head), with really spacious and light entrance featuring 2 large storage spaces. Bedroom has build in wardrobe, access to large balcony. Sound insulation is great (if doors closed in bedroom/living room, you won't hear what is happening in another room) as both living room and bedroom are separated from each other, both rooms have access to separate balconies. The building was finished in 2010 and this flat offers generous space. This is a very warm flat, has double glazing, benefits from sun on both sides during the day, and roof solar panels, our bills were not high. We have 3 flats on the floor, neighbours are nice and quiet, Commute is great (you have a choice of 4 stations: Selhurst, East/ West Croydon, Norwood Junction). It's just 12 minutes train to London Bridge from Norwood Junction (and 3 stops by bus from Selhurst to Norwood Junction, or 15 minute walk). You can walk (appr. 10 minutes) to grocery stores (Lidl, Aldi) to do your shopping. There's shopping mall in East Croydon with House of Frazer, Next, H&M, Zara, Primark and other stores and bank branches (Barclays, metro, Lloyds, HSBC). Ikea, B&Q, Currys, Costco, large furniture stores on Purley Way (just a short drive from home, or train/tram ride). Battersea Park with its Thames walkway is only 15 minutes by train, Crystal Palace park is also close to drive or take direct bus ride to. The area is not very busy as it's mostly private houses or small block of flats, unlike East Croydon where it's pretty crowded. You have various nurseries nearby, schools with good Ofsted rating, gyms are closer to East Croydon (I did not use gyms in the area so cannot provide any recommendations), there's also two community swimming pools nearby: South Norwood and Thornton Heath. We have been allocated one parking space that comes with the flat, parking is gated and locked as well as covered. In general, this flat is great combination of space / price / location and commute / shops.
