Comment From Robert Reed Of Gascoigne Halman

This handsome period house is distinctive, appealing and unique. It is located on the main road from Chester to Manchester and accordingly offers superb day to day convenience for both commuting to commercial centres and easy access to amenities in Tarvin, Tarporley and Chester. Tarvin High Street is accessible on foot within ten minutes, whilst those who enjoy rural walks can easily access designated public footpaths and the Roman Baker Way. Named after Jack Baker who used to be the Footpath Officer for Cheshire Council, the Baker way is a stunning route that cuts through the Cheshire Countryside from Chester passing Christleton, Waverton, the Roman Bridges at Hockenhull Platts, Tarvin, Ashton Hayes, Mouldsworth and Brines Brow before reaching Delamere Forest.

The house is rich in character, history and period features and is fully deserving of its Grade II Listed status. As is typical of a house from this era, the room sizes are excellent and this is a home that would accommodate a large family with ease. In total the house extends to 2463 square feet and with five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a very large kitchen and beautiful principal reception room, there is ample versatile space to be adapted to suit individual requirements.

This though is one of those properties where the house is just the beginning! The garden to the rear is an inspirational environment which is private, mature and in the peak season, full of colour and variety. There are large expanses of lawn for young children whilst the keen gardener also has a great plot to enjoy, cultivate and develop.
