Property description
This elegant three-bedroom house in Tottenham, with crisp white walls and stripped floorboards throughout, offers up modernised period charm in a spot-on location.
Brickworks Says
On the edge of a quiet street in Bruce Grove, this traditional three-bedroom terrace has a cool and calm interior, benefitting from beautiful Victorian features and modern touches for group living. It has the wonderful advantage of not being overlooked by any other houses at the front with its top-of-a-slope vantage point.
The sunny south-east facing living room is a delight to be in, with its stripped floors, charming fireplace and bespoke built-in alcove units. It flows into a formal dining room that peeks over the lovely garden, offering diners a glimpse of green. The kitchen is flanked with contemporary units and wooden worktops, providing any future owner ample storage space. On the first floor, the bathroom was renovated with a spa bath, perfect if you love to wallow in the warmth, while the three joyful bedrooms all feature fireplaces and column radiators. The garden has been completely transformed with decking, lawn and an abundance of trees and shrubs.
Woodside Gardens is located in the heart of Tottenham, within minutes of Bruce Grove station. With several parks in close proximity and the Tottenham Marshes a short stroll away, there’s a surprising amount of greenery for such a well-connected spot! And you’re not short of pubs and restaurants either as Tottenham’s quickly becoming a go-to destination for delicious food and craft beer. Top picks include - True Craft for regularly rotating beers and perfected sourdough pizza, The Bluecoats Pub for burgers and pints in a former Victorian school, and Kinome for incredible Japanese food - make sure you try the sushi tacos!
The Owners Say
We've loved living in this house and would transport it to our new area, if we could. Its high ceilings make it feel super-spacious and the period features such as cornicing and fireplaces are very special. We've fully transformed (and thoroughly enjoyed) the west-facing garden, which started off with just two trees. It becomes a lovely place to be in the spring and summer.
The area is vibrant, creative and has changed lots since we've been here. We are a short walk from Lordship Rec and Downhills Park and in the catchment area for some great schools (including one directly opposite our house!). The street has a lovely community feel with an annual street party and very active WhatsApp group that warmly welcomes newcomers.
