With one side of the building being composed almost entirely of glass, the house is always filled with light, especially as you walk through to the bedrooms, where you have the double-storey windows. The main living room, with its high, vaulted ceilings and abundance of space, is perfect for entertaining. In summer, you can enjoy inside-outside dining on the decking, and in the winter, it transforms into a romantic snug with a roaring fire in the stove. Less romantic but more practical, the house has excellent storage in the attached gatehouse. A rare find in London and perfect for those who love cycling and the outdoors as much as we do!

We love the tranquillity that comes with this unique location, and we often forget that we still live in London. Our garden is a true haven from the hustle and bustle of city life. Where else in London can you blow up a paddle board in your garden and walk it into the river in less than a minute! There are great pubs between here and Richmond for those lazy summer days and for the more active, miles and miles of peaceful, car-free running from right outside the door all the way through Richmond, Petersham, Ham and on to Kingston. For the cyclists, Richmond Park is a 10-minute ride away, with easy access to the Surrey Hills beyond.

And finally, there’s the street itself. Church Street has the most wonderful community with a real village feel. From Advent windows to summer street parties, there’s always something going on. We’ve truly loved our time on Church Street - it really is the best street in London and a very special place.
