Property description

A brilliant two bedroom cottage in the heart for Great Barrow village, nicely presented with a lot of charm and enjoying an enclosed garden and patio area

Comment From Oliver Weston Of Gascoigne Halman

Nestled in an idyllic position in the heart of Great Barrow village this charming cottage home is perfect for any first time buyer or downsizer.

As soon as you step through the door the cottage gives a lovely cosy feel that doesn't disappoint, just like you would expect from a home of this nature, and the traditional features combine well with impressive presentation, recently improved through new carpets the current owner had fitted. The home also boasts a strong energy rating with an EPC of 70 (C), rare to find in a period cottage, and pleasingly the boiler has been serviced and passed without fault.

Internally the cottage consists of a living room which leads you through to the fully fitted kitchen to the rear. The kitchen houses an oven and hob with extractor above as well as fixings for a washing machine and a range of wall and floor units with further storage being offered in the lounge via the under stairs cupboard.

The second floor includes the two bedrooms, bathroom and a generous storage closet. The main bedroom is of double size whilst the second, which has previously been used as a single bedroom, is currently set up as a comfortable home office and enjoys lovely village views from the window.

When turning to the exterior, the cottage continues to impress with a private garden and patio area. The traditional cottage garden is accessed via a shared path just a few steps from your front door and provides a unique and tranquil space for gardening, al fresco dining, or simply relaxing in the sun. The property also benefits from a garden shed, with plenty of space for gardening equipment and recycling bins.
