Leave the outskirts of Ross from the Travellers Rest roundabout (junction 4 M50) taking the B4221 road towards Upton Bishop. After descending after descending the hill through Phocle Green and beginning to rise towards Upton Bishop, take the unmade lane to the left, passing the entrance to Phocle Lake. Continue slowly along this lane passing the entrance to Gayton Farm until you come to an area of tarmacadam.
