The apartment is situated on Hoxton Street which used to be a main road and trade route in and out of London. Hoxton Street has long been a bustling Saturday market where all kinds of wares can be found. In the last 10 years there has been a bit of gentrification and we have seen old run down pubs converted to cocktail bars and trendy foodie haunts. Where there were betting shops there are now bike cafes and even a salad cafe/florist! Film and television programs are often recorded in the street - we had a recent visit from the Arctic Monkeys for one of their music videos and The Verve's Bitter Sweet Symphony video was filmed in the street! The apartment is in the centre of Hoxton which is part of one of London's most popular areas of Shoreditch. There is a multitude of bars, restaurants and nightclubs all within a few minutes walk. However, the apartment itself is close enough to enjoy the action but far enough away for it not to be a nuisance. Pubs/Bars: Electricity Showrooms, Howl at the Moon, Jaguar Shoes and barrio east. If you are about in the summer Hoxton Square gets busy during the day with Londoners sitting on the grass having lunch and catching some rare sun! Overall, this is London's East end shabby chic at its best don't be put off by the graffiti and bustle it's what makes the area loved by all who visit and those who live here.

Transport links are good, Old Street tube, for the northern line, is a 10-12 minute walk and Hoxton Overground is 5 minutes walk away. There is a 24 hour bus stop nearby which would take you to the West End for a theatre show in 25 minutes and you can easily walk into the city (London's financial district) in 20 minutes. You will also be within walking distance of many of London's trendy markets including; Columbia Road flower market, Broadway market and the Sunday Up markets at Brick Lane - also famed for its multiple curry houses.
