“Life at Birdsong is amazing... And it all has to be contributed to the amazing views, from every window in the house! (Well, except for the downstairs toilets...oh, and the sauna!)

Not one day goes by where one of us is not calling another to come and look at a unique sky. The views constantly change both day and night. The colours on the fells are spectacular and the night-stars are mesmerising, as there is very little light pollution.
No one to overlook us as we enjoy breakfast/lunch/dinner and of course drinks on the decking whilst we are transported to the ‘holiday-feeling’, soaking-in the ambiance of the space and freedom. It really sets us up for work, pleasure and the reality of ‘life’s challenges’.

Birdsong’s location is perfect ... Everything is within walking distance! The town is just 5 minutes, as is the lake and in 10 minutes you can be on top of Castle Head! It is like having the convenience of a town house, but with the sense of being far into the countryside.
There are neighbours within a stone’s throw either side, so there is always someone to help when in need and to keep an eye out for us when we are on holiday. Both sets of neighbours are lovely people and the kind of neighbours everyone longs for - friendly, helpful, and sociable but no one lives in each other’s pockets.

When we bought Birdsong, it was absolutely the location and views that sold it to us. In our opinion it is the best house in Keswick, and we will be sad to leave it, but we are off on our next adventure!”
