For those looking for a country hideaway or to indulge their love of golf, look no further than Greenwelltree. Situated next to the 16th hole at Craibstone Golf Course, the steading was thought to have been originally built around 1903. After falling into disrepair, the buildings were acquired by the current owner during 2007, and a programme of renovation works began to convert the property into a welcoming and contemporary home. Featuring high quality finishings throughout, the steading includes oak flooring, skirtings and cladded beams, oyster riven slate flooring and Travertine tiling to the bathrooms.
A partially glazed entrance door leads into the welcoming reception hall. Of neutral decoration to complement the oyster riven slate flooring and exposed granite walls, the reception hall is ideal as a further seating area while taking in the attractive courtyard through a series of large windows and double doors which allow for plentiful natural light. Within the hall there are two useful fitted storage cupboards, while a partially glazed doors allows entry to the inner hall.
The slate flooring continues into the inviting dining kitchen, which features striking vaulted ceiling beams and lovely dual aspect views across the garden grounds. Featuring a good range of off-white base and wall units with display cabinetry, wooden work surfaces incorporate a Belfast ceramic sink, while a central island with polished granite work surface provides further under counter storage. The integrated appliances are to remain along with the gas range cooker.
Partially on open plan to the dining kitchen is the spacious sitting room. Of neutral décor to highlight the oak flooring and vaulted ceiling beams, a deep silled window overlooks the garden, while a series of windows overlook the courtyard, and there is a sliding door opening onto it. There is an integrated sound system and ample space for seating. A most striking feature is the exposed chimney breast with multi fuel burning stove which is open between the sitting room and dining kitchen.
Next to the dining kitchen is the well equipped utility room, which provides a good level of fitted storage, with sunken Belfast ceramic sink to the centre of a wooden work surface. A partially glazed door allows access outside to the rear garden, which is extensively paved.
The l-shaped principal bedroom suite enjoys far reaching views across the gravelled driveway to the golf course beyond. Featuring striking vaulted ceiling beams and oak flooring, the principal bedroom boasts an elegant en suite bathroom, in addition to a well designed dressing room which provides a wealth of shelf, hanging and drawer space.
Double bedroom two is a spacious and peaceful room which overlooks the gardens via a long deep silled window with twin skylights above. Fitted with a generous double wardrobe, bedroom two benefits from an en suite shower room with attractive tiling to the floor and around the suite. Of similar decoration, double bedroom three has a well equipped walk in dressing room, and a spacious en suite shower room with Travertine tiling. Equally suitable as a further reception room, or study if desired, bedroom four is fitted with oak flooring and is adjacent to the light and airy wet room, which includes a wash hand basin, WC and mains shower.
