Bruce and Co. Are delighted to offer for sale this luxurious and beautifully presented country house located in the coastal village of Portsoy, Banffshire.
Durn House is an attractive country House with a fascinating history which is offered in true walk in condition, situated on one of the most historical and scenic coasts in Scotland.
The property has been under our clients’ ownership since 2007 and the business has been trading for the past three years, with our clients dedicating the previous six years to carefully renovating the entire property to its current standard.
Our clients have very reluctantly taken the decision to place Durn House on the market due to their impending wish to retire.
Durn House currently holds a Visit Scotland 4* rating making it extremely unique within the local area. The business receives exemplary reviews on Trip Advisor where it has also been awarded with a certificate of excellence – a true testament to the service provided by our clients.
Business is generated through the business’ own informative website where the full history of the property is available and it is also featured on several hotel booking sites where it is highly rated and recommended by previous guests.
Durn House trades successfully with high occupancy levels in accommodation in addition to food and drink sales and weddings/functions.
Although trading very well, there is still potential to increase turnover as the business has recently successfully applied for and been granted with an alcohol licence.
Another possibility to increase turnover is the potential to increase the number of letting rooms with minimal renovation as well as the possibility of introducing a permanent marquee in the grounds.
Durn House offers a great opportunity for new owners to take this still relatively young business to the next level.
Durn House is positioned in a historical setting in the coastal town of Portsoy. Th
