This is a Rolls Royce of retirement homes, thanks to the mha who have very exacting standards indeed. When my Dad moved in, he was a lost soul having lost his wife and in his mid 90s. The warmth and general feeling of calm friendliness gave him a new lease of life. He was very happy there and learned new skills and made new friends in a way he had never expected. When he was dying and I spent a lot of time there for a couple of weeks, the care of my Dad and, moreover of me, from Kate, the chaplain, the care staff and the kitchen staff was absolutely amazing. The night crew were particularly wonderful. You could not put a price on it.
