Perfectly placed Upon arriving at the property, a spacious gravel driveway is framed by shrubbery and leads to a roomy double garage, operated by an electronic key fob. The garage offers direct access into the property through the utility room, or the property can be entered through the main entrance, opening up into a large entrance hall with access to the reception areas, downstairs WC and storage cupboard.
Heart of the home When talking to the current owners about some of their favourite features of the property, the conservatory has been a space that they have really enjoyed during their time here. Since purchasing the property, they have entirely updated the conservatory, to create a room that is both in keeping with the property visually, as well as being functional. By double glazing the conservatory with glass designed to keep a near-constant year-round temperature they are able to enjoy both the colder months and the summertime. The conservatory connects the indoor and outdoor space, whilst also being ideal for entertaining.
Space and style The conservatory opens into the kitchen, after removing a wall between the two a few years ago. The kitchen was created for the owners by ikea, giving it both the sleek Swedish style that the brand is famous for, whilst also allowing for excellent customisation both when they first installed it and in the future. The kitchen is largely focused around a large range cooker, with gas tops and an electric oven, making cooking a true joy.
The kitchen leads directly into the dining room, which also offers gas connection, making the installation of a gas fireplace or a wood burner particularly easy. Double doors open into the study and an open plan design also leads through to a homely sitting room with an exposed brick hearth and open plan fireplace.
Room to grow The first floor of the property accommodates all four double bedrooms, as well as the family bathroom and continue the feel of well thought through design that can be found on the ground floor. Three of the bedrooms offer walk-in wardrobes, as well as the fourth offering storage within the eaves. The family bathroom features a bath as well as a shower. Meanwhile, another shower is featured within the en-suite leading from the master bedroom.
Oriental landscape The garden is accessible from French doors opening from the conservatory, with inspiration taken from both a busy lifestyle and Asian style landscaping, to create an outdoor space that was easy to maintain whilst also being particularly stylish. After returning from Japan the owners found a way to incorporate this within their garden, exemplified by two-tone stones, a bridge and the water feature. Additionally, the garden is lit throughout to create a particularly lovely ambience in the evenings.
