Cwmsymlog is located at grid reference SN837699. From Aberystwyth take the A487 trunk road north for approximately 2 miles before turning right to Penrhyncoch (signposted). At the village take the first major turning rightand proceed past the village shop and garage ignoring all turnings for about a mile before turning right for Penbontrhydybeddau. At the far end of Penbontrhydybeddau turn left to Cwmsymlog (signposted) and the track leading down to the chapel is on your left after Cwmcanol Farm.

Cwmsymlog is a small hamlet developed as a lead mining centre over a century ago. The spoil from that activity is to be seen at the village and in the surrounding countryside. The former chapel enjoys a slightly elevated south facing location with fine views over the valley.
The only means of access is over a pedestrian path to the side of the cemetery as shown in the photographs. The property has a shared hardcore track access lane from the council maintained road.
The chapel is of traditional stone and slate construction and is in need of modernisation. The total internal floor area (of one floor) amounts to approximately 850 sq feet of 27'2 x 32'3. About half of the floor area is sloping to accommodate the existing pews.
From cemetery a footpath to side leading to front entrance door. There is also an area of ground to the rear of the chapel.
Rights will be reserved in the transfer deed for people to enter upon the land to visit the cemetery and for those who wish to be buried with a deceased relative. As far as we are aware one party has expressed these wishes. The purchasers will be obliged to keep the cemetery in good condition.
