One of our main reasons for buying this flat was location – you can’t get more convenient than Poole Quarter! To have so much on your doorstep is amazing – from the town centre shops and supermarkets, the pubs and restaurants on the Quay to Poole Park, Baiter and Whitecliff. We loved being so close to the sea you can actually see it from our balcony and will really miss that. It was also really handy to have the bus, coach and train stations so close by, as well as the swimming pool/gym and hospital.
We chose the flat itself because with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan kitchen/living room it was nice and spacious with plenty of room to accommodate our growing family (our first son was born not long after we moved in 7 years ago). Being a new build it is easy to clean and low cost to maintain, we rarely have to put all the heaters on even in the middle of winter!
The apartment itself feels contemporary yet homely, having been decorated in neutral colours throughout. The hallway leads through the property giving access to all the main rooms and generous cupboards offering large amounts of storage space.
The family bathroom is one of the rooms first accessed from the corridor and features contemporary suite. On the opposite side of the corridor, the spacious master bedroom is found with built-in wardrobes. There is also plenty of space for free standing furniture and access to the en-suite. The second bedroom is next to the master, and a good-sized double.
The kitchen and main living space is found at the end of the corridor and we are sure you will love how light and bright this room is. Double glass doors to your own private balcony allow for plenty of natural light into the room. The seating area is large enough to accommodate large corner sofas and the remainder of the room has plenty of space for a dining table and chairs.
The contemporary kitchen is found at the back of this open-plan living space, and has multiple floor and wall mounted units and space for a dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
Additionally, there are two large storage cupboards, one with plumbing for a washing machine/drier. The property benefits from its own secure underground parking space.
Avenel Way is a popular residential development located near to Poole Harbour and is only a short walk to all the local restaurants, cafes and amenities at Poole Quay. Supermarkets are found a very short walk away, making this property the perfect first home or lock-up-and leave; everything is conveniently located. Poole train station is located about a half mile from the property, which has a frequent two hour service to London Waterloo. Local bus routes are also within easy walking distance.
