- 19th Century Grade II listed building complete with its own Tower !
- Spacious ground which includes a functional Annex Building
- Four floors incorporating classic, contemporary and modern styles
- Sought after area in the South of Liverpool
- Wonderful Family Home
- Walking distance to Woolton Village
Built in 1856 by a Scottish cotton maker Mark Wilson Armour using local materials, this property oozes in character and exceptional taste. You gain access to the front by pulling the traditional Bell pull chain and are greeted in the vestibule with a 18th Century Tapestry and tiled flooring. You then enter the spacious hallway still maintaining the original wooden flooring and covings. The oak stained banister is beautifully preserved. The first room on your left is the Drawing Room, classic and contemporary with lots of natural light shining through . It has a Chesney of London bespoke fireplace ( in working order ) with Carrara marble fireplace. The room next to this is the living room which has another classic fireplace and french doors leading to the rear of the property. The kitchen/ breakfast room is contemporary and bespoke having a gas aga and a normal gas hob. Again, French doors that lead to the rear. On this floor you also have a bathroom and cloakroom.
The basement is one my favourites parts of the property as its great for family / social gatherings and can be self contained with a few minor adjustments. Whilst socialising one must have a bar and a Wine Cellar /chiller room which is at the correct temperature for your Champagnes, Presecco and wines etc.....The living room is large enough for a piano and is well decorated. The basement Kitchen has a contemporary cast iron fireplace and a modern kitchen which includes an integrated dishwasher, cooker and hob. All the radiators here are the original cast iron ones with the fires fully functional and wood burning.
The first floor landing has the Original stained glass skylight and traditional features in keeping with the property. The master bedroom has built in wardrobes and has a functional gas fire. The next bedroom again has built in wardrobes. The bathroom has the original 1920s bath and a Sanitan wash hand basin. On the second floor there is a room which can either be a play / study or a dressing room.........
What makes this different to all properties is the Tower and the breath taking views it has. There is nothing similar to this making it an unique experience, you have to walk on the outside stairs to reach the summit and your view is all that you can see, nothing blocking the stunning views.
The rear of the property has a Annex which is fully functional and has a bedroom with is connected bathroom to it. The rear is secluded and very spacious. The front garden is large enough to have a Tree House and games area for the children. There is ample storage for a number of cars to park in the driveway.
This is a stylish, full of character property making it unique in the market place, viewing is essential to appreciate all that it has to offer and I guarantee you won't be disappointed...........
