Property description
The Punch Bowl is located in the village of Lower Bentham which sits facing the River Wenning on the borders of Lancashire, Cumbria and North Yorkshire. The area is popular with walkers, cyclists and tourists, and there are many holiday parks in the close vicinity. The village has a population of around 2,000 and comprises a mixture of farms and residences dating back to at least the Black Death, as on the road to High Bentham are plague stones which were used during that time as an alternative to markets. Lower Bentham lies off the A687 which links to Lancaster and the M6 to the west and Skipton to the east. The property has a campsite to the rear and is of local stone construction under a pitched slate roof.
