Sixteen chalets, all of which are well maintained, are of traditional timber and mesh construction, were installed at considerable cost when the cattery was first opened by the current owners in 2010 and were built to Feline Advisory Bureau Standards. The chalets consist of single and family chalets that can accommodate up to 4 cats from the same household giving a maximum of 56 cats at any time.

Chalets are full height with adjoining covered runs and tinted roofs are used to protect cats from harmful uv rays. Chalets have full height sneeze barriers so cats can see each other but are unable to make contact. There are also gaps between each pair of chalets to ensure plenty of air circulation and minimise risk of infection. All chalets are heated and overlook the garden. There are also removable, purpose built weather screens for protection against the elements.

All chalets have thermostatically controlled heating and were thoughtfully designed to not only maximize the number of chalets but also with the cats in mind. The suites are spacious and consists of sleeping quarters to the rear which can be closed off completely to keep guests snug in bad weather or reduce stress for a nervous visitor. Each sleeping area opens out into its own exercise run.

In total there are four cattery blocks with the main two facing each other on opposite side of the garden thus giving a pleasant outlook for the cats.

The cattery provides a tranquil atmosphere during the day and whilst situated within the large private garden, in our opinion it does not impact on the garden space so still making it ideal for families with young children.
