  • Hollywood power couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are upping-sticks and selling their five-bedroom, five-bathroom home for a hefty £5.69m (you can have a good nose around in this video tour).

The actors got together in 1983 after first meeting on the set of the 1968 film The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band. They have famously remained unmarried for the last 33 years.

    What’s the home like?

Considering its vast 6,389 sq ft of living space, this mansion has a surprisingly homely feel. It was built in 1951, but has undergone several facelifts since then – the most recent of which was undertaken by Hawn and Russell in 2006.

The property now includes luxurious perks such as a gym and pilates room, a media room, swimming pool and a meditation room.

The country-style large kitchen has been kitted out with traditional cream units and checkerboard furnishings, but also has a modern range oven and a huge island for food preparation.

The living space is flooded with light thanks to skylights and French doors that open out onto the lush garden.

Three of the bedrooms, including a stunning guest bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, can be found on the first floor. The remaining bedrooms are on the second floor, although one is currently being used to house an impressive gym.

    When did they buy it?

The couple bought the house back in 2004 for $4,124,590 (around £3.2m).

    Where is it?

The house sits on Capri Drive, just off Sunset Boulevard in the highly-prestigious Pacific Palisades neighbourhood of Los Angeles.  There’s plenty of star power in the area with current and former home owners including Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon and Matt Damon.

How much is it on for?

Keen on purchasing the plush pad? You’ll need to get in touch with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage which is selling the house for $7,250,000 (around £5,693,866).

    What’s interesting about the area?

Situated less than 25 minutes’ drive from the heart of Los Angeles, and only marginally further from all the big film studios, it’s not difficult to see why celebrities are drawn to the Pacific Palisades.

The peaceful residential spot also has plenty of parks and hiking routes as well as the golden sands of Will Rogers State Beach which offers a range of sports facilities.
