Originally a 16th century manor house, Belsize Park was built on between 1852 and 1878 with properties that are predominantly four and five storey white stucco fronted houses. After the First World War the construction of blocks of flats began, and now many of the larger houses have also been converted into flats. These days Belsize Park is considered to be one of the most desirable areas in London to live.
