Sewardstone is a suburban family area in the Epping Forest district of Essex, and the only area outside Greater London to be part of a London postal code –E4. The area consists of scattered developments of housing surrounded by large sections of open land. The King George's Reservoir forms the boundary with the London Borough of Enfield to the west, and a section of woodland forms the boundary with the London Borough of Waltham Forest to the south. The majority of Sewardstone property is new build, with a few properties built between the wars.
