The listing is as follows:
"Large House formerly known as Parkfield House.
Circa 1835-40. Built by Francis Garrett who formerly occupied Compton Castle
q.v. Stuccoed. Low – pitched hipped slate roof with deep eaves with paired
brackets and panelled soffit. Rectangular on plan. Two storeys. South-west and
north-west garden fronts of three bays with sash windows complete with glazing
bars. The north-east entrance front is asymmetrical and has moulded
mullion/transom windows with glazing bars in chamfered openings with hood
moulds. Right hand first floor with four centred head and Y-bar. Below is a
gabled porch with buttressed corners and Y-Bars. Inner door is similar. Small
bellcote in the valley of the roof. Plain rendered chimney stacks. Interior:
contemporary geometric staircase with simple stick balusters and oval lantern.
Original joinery appears to be largely intact including most of the doors. Three
original, though plain, chimneypieces remain".
