The property is set in 3.2 acres of beautiful grounds with a heated outdoor swimming pool, and was listed as grade II in 1985. The listing is as follows:

"Large House formerly known as Parkfield House. Circa 1835-40. Built by Francis Garrett who formerly occupied Compton Castle q.v. Stuccoed. Low – pitched hipped slate roof with deep eaves with paired brackets and panelled soffit. Rectangular on plan. Two storeys. South-west and north-west garden fronts of three bays with sash windows complete with glazing bars. The north-east entrance front is asymmetrical and has moulded mullion/transom windows with glazing bars in chamfered openings with hood moulds. Right hand first floor with four centred head and Y-bar. Below is a gabled porch with buttressed corners and Y-Bars. Inner door is similar. Small bellcote in the valley of the roof. Plain rendered chimney stacks. Interior: contemporary geometric staircase with simple stick balusters and oval lantern. Original joinery appears to be largely intact including most of the doors. Three original, though plain, chimneypieces remain".

We appreciate without a full set of particulars you may have a number of queries and therefore, before making an appointment to view the property, please discuss these with Hugh Townsend.
