Seaward and Westward are situated in an elevated position on the edge of the pretty seaside village of Portpatrick. The south facing cottages have fantastic seascape views over Luce Bay, Mull of Galloway and towards Ireland and back onto the Dunskey Golf Course.
Portpatrick village is on the south western tip of mainland Scotland and on the Rhinns of Galloway with a pleasant climate from the Gulf Stream. The village is predominantly wrapped around its harbour and caters for everyday needs and requirements with a general store, post office, the popular Dunskey Hotel and various pubs and restaurants.
The town of Stranraer is 8 miles distant and offers a range of retail, cultural and professional assets. There is a local primary school and secondary schooling is available at Stranraer.
The Mull of Galloway is served by a local bus service. The nearest main line rail station is at Stranraer. Prestwick airport is 63 miles to the north. The A77 runs north to Ayr and Glasgow and the A75 runs east toward Dumfries and the south.
The ferry terminals at Stranraer and Cairnryan both provide regular services to Larne/Belfast in Northern Ireland.
The village offers a range of activities including 9 and 18 hole golf courses, numerous beaches and is the starting point of the Southern Upland Way. There are opportunities for sea angling by permit on the local rivers and lochs. Some of the local estates offer shooting by prior arrangement. Scenic coastal sailing can be had in the surrounding waters and there are marina/chandlery/harbour services in the district.
