Fenn Hall originally formed part of the - Buxhall Manor' and its history can be traced back to the 9th Century. It is believed then to have been owned by the family of the Abbot of Bury before being passed through various owners including direct descendents of the Dukes of Norfolk. The Rowley family of Stoke By Nayland owned the farm in the late 18th century and having passed through various owners was sold at auction in 1929 as part of the Buxhall Vale Estate and again subsequently in 1950.
