Description
Combe Wood House is a striking grade II listed, largely period house with very attractive mellow brick elevations and sash windows. in grounds of approximately 13 acres.
Accommodation
Over the years the house has been extended to provide spacious and immaculately presented family accommodation, which includes a beautifully hand crafted kitchen/breakfast room, with travertine tiled floor.
From the entrance hall there is access to both the drawing room and dining room, each have beamed, but not low ceilings, open fireplaces and exposed floorboards. The family room is a sympathetic addition and there is a cellar which is accessed off the rear
hall, as is the utility room.
A very fine oak panelled staircase leads to the first floor landing and there are five bedrooms, and three smart bathrooms with under floor heating to the master en suite and the main family bathroom.
Gardens and Grounds
Electric gates open to a driveway which leads to the garage and provides a parking and turning area.
The gardens surrounding the house are largely lawns studded with trees and specimen shrubs, borders, hedging and a small orchard.
The remainder of grounds are natural woodland providing a lovely backdrop for the property. We understand that Tree Preservation Orders apply to the majority of the land and part is designated as a Heritage Site by Hampshire County Council.
