This former fisherman’s cottage is situated within a terrace of four cottages and overlooks Arinagour Bay. Extended to the rear and deceptively spacious the accommodation comprises: vestibule, hallway, lounge/family room, kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom as well as two large developed loft areas

The property is set back from the Main Street and enjoys pleasant sea views from its attractive village location at Arinagour – within easy walking distance of the ferry landing connecting the island to the major West Highland town of Oban.

Arinagour is the only village on the island and supports a well stocked general store, post office, hotel, café/restaurant, craft and pottery shop, petrol station, medical centre, churches and a primary school.

Coll is a thriving Inner Hebridean island – just 13 miles long and three miles wide.  It has increased in popularity in recent years and has benefited from the availability of building land and its improved communications helped, not least, by the new airstrip on the west of the island and the expectation of scheduled flights from Oban from Summer 2007.

The island has numerous white sandy beaches and beautiful turquoise waters.  It is sprinkled with historic sites, rare wildlife and a diverse plant life.  In the summer the machair – Gaelic for the flat grassy land behind the sand dunes – hosts an abundance of species including orchids, thyme and wild geranium to name but a few.  Traditional low-intensity farming methods and the enriching effects of wind-blown sand also sustain a wide variety of insects and birds, including the rare corncrake.

Treshnish Cottage is a traditional terrace cottage that has been extended at the rear and modernised and upgraded to provide either a permanent home or second home.  It would also be suitable for holiday letting as the island is a popular tourist destination in the summer months and there is a shortage of holiday accommodation on the island.
