The Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway is run by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society. The original line branches off from the mainline at Whitecross, between the stations in Polmont and Linlithgow. It is planned that the railway station in Bo'ness will become the home of the Scottish Railway Museum. Kinneil House is an impressive, solid building, to the west of Bo'ness, financed by the powerful Hamilton family in the 15th century.
