Juniper Green is a residential suburb on the south-western outskirts of Edinburgh. It lies on the Water of Leith, mostly to the north of the A70, between Currie to the south-west and the Edinburgh ring road. South of Juniper Green is a patchwork of green fields and views of the beautiful Pentland Hills. To the north is the suburb of Baberton and a superb 18-hole golf course. The settlement of Juniper Green is first mentioned in the Kirk records of Colinton in 1707. In 1920, Juniper Green was officially absorbed into the City of Edinburgh but remains a distinct, semi-rural, community.
