The old market town of Cupar lies on the River Eden at the east end of the fertile Howe of Fife, just 12 miles west of St. Andrews. This Royal Burgh, with a population of approximately 9,000, has an air of activity synonymous with a busy working town. The towns economy is provided by newspaper printing, grain milling, food processing and construction industries, some of which are located in the Prestonhall Industrial and Cupar Trading Estates.
