Property, Houses and Flats for Sale in Stevenston, Ayrshire

Property for sale in Stevenston

If you are seeking property for sale in Stevenston, it is a delightful town with excellent road and rail transport links. Together with Ardrossan and Saltcoats, Stevenston is part of a conurbation of ‘Three Towns’ on the west coast of Ayrshire. It was the birthplace of Miss Lesley Baillie in 1768 who Robert Burns described as “the most beautiful, most elegant woman in the world" and who inspired him to write love poems about his “Bonnie Lesley”. A memorial now stands in Stevenston to her memory. For many years, Stevenston was a major centre for coalmining but in the 20th century the mines closed and corporations such as ICI became the principal source of employment.
