Property for sale in Turriff
Turriff is a small town and parish in rural Aberdeenshire, with a population of almost 5,000. Due south of Macduff and Banff, Turriff lies at the confluence of the Burn of Turriff and the River Deveron, and dates back more than 1,000 years. In the mid 18th century, Turriff expanded as an agricultural trading centre, greatly benefiting from the highway between Banff and Aberdeen. In 1857 the railway arrived boosting the commercial growth of the town. Today, Turriff has numerous buildings and houses, constructed in red sandstone, that date from the 18th century. One of the most attractive is the Fife Arms Hotel, a traditional country inn built in 1770.
Beautiful countryside, stunning architecture, good local amenities and a high demand for homes can result in a limited supply of houses for sale in Turriff. But, if you would like to see what is currently available, please contact Turriff estate agents.
Flats for sale in Turriff are also rare but it is worth checking with estate agents in Turriff before expanding your search to towns such as Fraserburgh, Huntly, Ellon, and Inverurie.
