Formerly known as Milton of Strathbogie, Huntly is a picturesque town with 4,000 inhabitants situated on raised ground north-west of Aberdeen. Well-known for its beautiful castle and even better known for its shortbread biscuits, Huntly lies close to the rivers Deveron and Bogie both, of which, offer excellent salmon and trout fishing. In 1854, the railway line between Aberdeen and Inverness was completed and Huntly became an important freight centre servicing both cities. Today, Huntly is also well-placed on the road network and is served by the A96, Aberdeen – Inverness road, and the A97 and the A920.

Huntly is a majestic town full of large, solid buildings, constructed in grey stone, with many dating from the 18th century. The wide main streets are supported by a network of smaller streets that are lined with charming cottages and houses. There is always a limited supply of houses for sale in Huntly, but if you would like to see what is currently available, including any flats for sale in Huntly, please contact Huntly estate agents.
