Aboyne lies at the foot of the Scottish Highlands on the River Dee, approximately 30 miles west of Aberdeen and near Balmoral Castle. It is home to 2,200+ residents and is a popular village with visitors, especially in the summer. The Highland Games are played on the village green in August, and people come from far and wide to watch or participate. As estate agents in Aboyne will tell you, it is a wonderful place to live, especially for those that love outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling, and hill-climbing, or gliding from the airfield just outside the village. Deeside Gliding Club is the only gliding airfield in Scotland to have a tarmac runway. Aboyne is also a good home for growing children, as the large green has facilities for rugby and football, and a play park.

There is a limited stock of houses for sale in Aboyne but, when they do become available, there are 4-bedroom, detached family houses with integral garage; and traditional, stone-built cottages and crofters’ houses in wonderful rural locations. For details of any flats for sale in Aboyne or information regarding all available property, please contact Aboyne estate agents.

Amenities for Aboyne properties
