Keighley is a town of 70,000 residents lying in the Aire valley in the south Pennines, 12 miles from Bradford and 13 miles from Halifax. Pronounced Keeth-ly, the town dates from the 9th century and prospered from the wool and cotton industries of the 18th and 19th centuries. Post-war, Keighley was extensively remodelled and lost many historic buildings. Fortunately, some fine Victorian architecture survived such as the terrace of houses along Cavendish Street with its 200 metre ornamental canopy; East Riddlesden Hall, a 17th century manor house now owned by the National Trust; and the gracious houses that line the road to Skipton.

Property for sale in Keighley is a mix of two and three-bedroom Victorian and Edwardian terraced cottages and houses; post-war semi-detached houses and bungalows; and new-build developments including terraced and semi-detached townhouses with integral garages. Estate agents in Keighley also represent properties with four or more bedrooms including new-build terraced and semi-detached houses; substantial, stone-built houses from various historic periods; and contemporary, executive-style houses with double garages.

Flats for sale in Keighley are located in refurbished terraced houses; stunning, converted, stone-built mansions and former mills and breweries; and in new-build, apartment houses. For details of flats currently on the market, and for information regarding cottages, bungalows and houses, please contact Keighley estate agents.
