Property, Houses and Flats for Sale in Kenilworth, Warwickshire

Neighbouring areas

Kenilworth is an exquisite market town in the heart of Warwickshire with many historic buildings and fascinating architecture. Fifty years after the Norman Conquest in 1066, Geoffrey de Clinton built Kenilworth Castle which was subsequently partially destroyed by Oliver Cromwell's men in 1649. Despite the vandalism, the castle is one of the finest ruins in England and was beautifully captured in 1830 by the painter J M W Turner. The hamlet of Little Virginia sits close to Kenilworth Castle, and consists of thatched cottages dating from the 17th century that were once home to the masons and builders working on the castle. Rumour has it that the first potatoes brought to England were planted in Little Virginia by Sir Walter Raleigh.

If you are looking for houses for sale in Kenilworth there is a good mix of styles, sizes and periods to suit all tastes and pockets including three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached 20th century houses; modern, detached family houses with integral garage; unique and distinct architect-designed houses full of character; Victorian townhouses; and converted farmhouses within stunning rural locations. Flats for sale in Kenilworth are fairly rare and usually found in converted houses.
