Property, Houses and Flats for Sale in Morden, Surrey

Neighbouring areas

Until the 1920s, Morden was a private estate with a village and a parish church that served a small farming community, but the arrival of the Northern Line in 1926 began the process to leafy suburbia. Little of the rural character of Morden survives, although Morden is well-served with parks and playing fields. Within the London Borough of Merton, Morden is situated between Merton Park to the north, Mitcham to the east, Sutton to the south, and Worcester Park to the west.

Houses for sale in Morden towards Morden Hall Park and upmarket Merton Park are large, detached and semi-detached homes, in quiet leafy streets with little through traffic. The St Helier estate to the south is mostly two and three-bedroom terraces and semis, owner-occupied, and a good source of reasonably-priced houses. Lower Morden offers 1930s' mock Tudor semis, and Morden centre has a plentiful supply of flats and maisonettes above shops and in converted Edwardian cottages. The average price of flats for sale in Morden offering one bedroom is around £150,000 with two-bedroom flats from £180,000. Houses for sale in Morden with three bedrooms are from £250,000 and houses offering four bedrooms from £340,000. These are guide prices only and we suggest that you contact estate agents in Morden for precise information.
