Sudbury is a traditional East Anglian market town in the Stour Valley that, despite its evolution, has managed to retain much of its traditional charm and historical buildings. Birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough, the town centre displays a statue in his memory and his former home, Gainsborough House, has been turned into a museum dedicated to his life's work. The estate agents in Sudbury say the local residents enjoy the town's strong sense of community and a good quality of life. The area seems to appeal to a diverse selection of people: busy commuters, active families and mature people. There are all types of property for sale in Sudbury to suit the needs of most households, amongst which you will find a selection of Victorian houses and cottages, Georgian townhouses, penthouse apartments overlooking the river, modern houses and a limited selection of bungalows.
