Property, Houses and Flats for Sale in Newmarket, Suffolk

Newmarket is internationally known as the headquarters of horse racing, with the highest number of horses trained anywhere in the UK. There are two famous racecourses, and the town is surrounded by the Heath, on which racehorses are trained daily, and by beautifully maintained thoroughbred breeding studs. The Newmarket estate agents say the property market, commercial and private, continues to soar, boosted by the ever-growing ingress of purchasers from Arab countries, and more recently from Ireland. Multi-millions are invested in racing and breeding in the area each year. As might be expected in this area, there is plenty of Newmarket property with an equine bias - there are stud farms, horse racing yards and large properties with stabling and paddocks. Other types of property for sale include new developments of detached houses, apartments in purpose built developments (designed to blend in with the existing townscape), as well as Edwardian and Victorian townhouses.
