Wallingford is an attractive market town situated on the River Thames between Oxford and Reading. The landscape from the River Thames is officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. While the town today is more tranquil than during much of its turbulent history, it still retains a lot of its old character and charm, and has a strong community spirit.
