Eight miles from Oxford on the A34, Abingdon is in the Thames valley where the River Ock flows in from the Vale of White Horse, named after the prehistoric Uffington White Horse. In 1810 the Wilts and Berks canal was built and Abingdon became a key link between Bristol, London, Birmingham and the Black Country. Today, Abingdon is a thriving town with farmers' markets, classic car rallies, live music, and local facilities for sports and river activities.

If you are looking for houses for sale in Abingdon you will find a wide choice of periods, sizes and prices. There are numerous terraced, semi-detached and townhouses offering three bedrooms. Slightly more expensive are Victorian and Edwardian terraced and semi detached houses, often located in rural surroundings. For four bedrooms plus, estate agents in Abingdon offer an eclectic mix of Victorian and Edwardian detached houses and more modern houses both individually designed and within new housing developments.

Flats for sale in Abingdon are in purpose-built blocks and apartment houses and the occasional period-house conversion. For details of flats currently available and for all houses and cottages, please contact Abingdon estate agents.
