Mansfield takes its name from the River Maun and has a population of 70,000. Known as 'The King's Great Manor in the Forest of Sherwood', in 1337, Mansfield stone was used to build the Chapter-house at Southwell Minster and, a few years later, the stone was quarried for improvements to Nottingham Castle. In the mid 18th century the Industrial Revolution brought wealth to Mansfield which has, subsequently, adapted well to the collapse of coal mining and other associated industries.

If you are looking for property for sale in Mansfield you have a tremendous choice of modern terraced and semi-detached houses and cottages, new-build townhouses, detached bungalows, and period and modern detached houses often with integral garages. Estate agents in Mansfield also represent substantial family-sized houses with four or five bedrooms some, of which, are Grade II listed.

For details of flats for sale in Mansfield, which are in a mix of converted period properties and purpose-built apartment houses, and for all cottages and houses currently on the market, please contact Mansfield estate agents.
