The Barbican development is a combined residential and cultural complex built during the 1970's as a result of regeneration of an area that was largely destroyed by bombing during the Second World War. Some of the developments of apartment blocks are of skyscraper proportions and are among some of the tallest buildings in London with spectacular views.
