Horncastle is a small market town to the south of the Lincolnshire Wolds, where the River Bain meets the River Waring. Voted Antique Town of the Year, Horncastle is packed with antique and secondhand book shops, located in wonderful old houses dating back many hundreds of years. The great annual horsefair ‘Horncastle for Horses’ first took place in the 13th century and was the largest fair of its kind.
