Grantham is a market town on the River Witham with about 40,000 residents. It has several historic coaching inns including the Angel Inn where King Richard III sealed the fate of the Duke of Buckingham in 1483. There are also many other notable buildings in and around Grantham, including the 16th century parish church of St Wulfram's, which has a stunning spire; Grantham Museum with displays of artefacts belonging to Isaac Newton, who was born at Woolsthorpe Manor; and several period houses preserved by the National Trust.

If you are looking for property for sale in Grantham you have a choice of Victorian terraced cottages, modern terraced houses and new-build townhouses; detached bungalows, and a variety of detached cottages and houses, both modern and period many, of which, are Grade II listed. Estate agents in Grantham also represent substantial modern houses with five or more bedrooms and large, integral garages; and period mansions dating back centuries, set within mature gardens in wonderful rural locations.

For details of flats for sale in Grantham, which are mostly in purpose-built low-rise apartment blocks, and for all cottages and houses currently on the market, please contact Grantham estate agents.

For school-age children, Grantham offers a wide choice of infant, primary, church and high schools. There are also two selective grammar schools: the oldest is The King's School with 1,000 boys, once attended by Isaac Newton; and the second is Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School, which opened in 1910 and was attended by former Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher.
