Boston is near the north-east coast of The Wash on the River Haven and is surrounded by The Fens. The town has a population of 36,000 and its most notable landmark is The Stump, Boston's 14th century parish church which has one of the highest towers in England. In the early 17th century Boston was a hotbed of religious dissent, resulting in many pilgrims sailing on the Mayflower to New England. In 1953, The Haven Bridge opened but the town was spared the ravages of typical post-war urban development and many fine mediaeval, Georgian and Victorian buildings remain. However, a new shopping centre has recently opened in response to Boston's booming economy.

If you are looking for houses for sale in Boston and require two or three bedrooms, you have a choice of Victorian terraced cottages, modern terraced houses, detached bungalows, and period and modern detached houses. Estate agents in Boston also represent family-sized houses with four or five bedrooms and integral garages; converted farm buildings in wonderful rural settings; and substantial detached houses, both period and modern, set within mature gardens.
